The Montgomery County Emergency Communication District, also known as Montgomery County 9-1-1, is pleased to announce an enhancement to the local emergency notification system through CodeRED.
In addition to Severe Weather Warning telephone messages generated by the National Weather Service to residents of Montgomery County other crisis alerts involving public safety will now be generated free of charge also through CodeRED.
If you receive a CodeRED Alert or Weather Warning message, listen carefully.
The message will be brief and not repeated.

Do not hang up until you hear the whole message.
Do not call 9-1-1 unless instructed.
CodeRED emergency notifications are automatic for landline telephones.
If you want to receive weather warnings you must enroll and register your phones.
To receive weather warnings or other emergency notifications via a wireless or VoIP phone you must enroll also.
